Hi! I am Brittany, a homeschooling mother to four children. The Little Patriots history series by A Living Learning Co was born out of my oldest son’s hunger for history. I wanted to create unit studies to provide him a thorough, but age-appropriate look at our upcoming Election and study of Presidents, Past + Present, which opened the door to other projects, such as this Independence Day study. Through these guides, my prayer is that both your learners, as well as mine, can gain an appreciation and understanding of our country’s history, systems, as well as build deep, analytical connections between self and government. I hope that this unit is a founding force in your learner’s dual respect and questioning of our country’s processes and events shaped by our nation’s past leaders.
